Barbara A. Barry, MA, LA. Practicing acupuncturist since 1993.
Barbara A. Barry graduated from the Traditional Acupuncture Institute (TAI) in 1993 receiving a Master’s of Acupuncture degree. She opened a private practice in Baltimore, MD and also began administrative and teaching work at TAI (now known as the Maryland University of Integrative Health). Ultimately she was honored by her teaching colleagues and was named Faculty Member of the Year. In 2004 she was honored again by TAI and named Faculty Emeritus.
In 2000 she returned to her native state of North Carolina and opened her private practice in Raleigh. In 2001 she was appointed to the North Carolina Acupuncture Licensing Board and served on it for six years, four of which she chaired the Board.
After graduation she continued her post-graduate education including a two-year herbal training program with Ted Kaptchuk, one year of Toyohari training, many courses with Professor J. R. Worsely and years of training with master five element trainer Niki Bilton.
